1. Include a call to action in the subject line - inlcude exactly what you need the recipient to do and the exstimated time it takes for them to do it.
2. One email thread per topic - stick to the original email chain for any given topic so everyone can refer to the same information.
3. Manage recipients - a professional and easy way to do this is to add a sentence at the very top the email clearly showing whom you added in or took out.
4. Start with the main point - always include your main point first, followed by the context.
5. Summarize in your reply - Not only does this help you confirm your understanding is correct, but the other party will also appreciate the extra effort you tool to help them organize their thoughts.
6. Hyperlink whenever possible - it decrease the changces of you making a mistake by adđing an extra letter or deleting one in the original URL.
7. Change the default setting to "Rely" (not "Repky all") - this is a standard setting on most popular email clients, and you can usually find this in the general settings section.
8. Change undo send options - Instead of the default five seconds undo send, for example, update to 30 seconds for good measure.
9. Track your emails - This is especially good for emails that need an immediate response.
