SEMINAR IN TDU
On April 22, 2024, Harvey&Morris hosted a seminar titled "Legal Profession and Legal English" at the Faculty of Law, Ton Duc Thang University.
During the event, Mr. Hoang Minh—lawyer and founder of Harvey&Morris—highlighted the significance of legal English and shared insights into law firm practices. He also elaborated on the decision to introduce TOLES, a specialized legal English certificate from Cambridge Law Studio (UK), to Vietnam.
Mr. Donie Jabines, a company lecturer, elucidated the distinctions between legal and general English, while offering effective strategies for mastering legal English.
The seminar drew students from diverse majors beyond the Faculty of Law, offering them a deeper understanding of legal English's role in professional settings. Students had the valuable opportunity to engage directly with speakers, posing questions and gaining practical insights from their experiences.
Harvey&Morris also showcased the TOLES program—an international legal English certificate—providing students with a comprehensive overview of its structure, content, and benefits.
The event proved highly successful and beneficial for attendees. Harvey&Morris extends heartfelt gratitude to the university leadership and Law Department faculty for their enthusiastic support in organizing and promoting the seminar.
At Harvey&Morris, we're committed to fostering a high-quality, practical learning environment for students. We're confident that seminars like this equip students with essential knowledge and skills, setting them up for future career success.
